William Gottlieb was born on January 28, 1917 in Brooklyn, New York, USA as William Paul Gottlieb. He is known for his work on Thelonious Monk: Straight, No Chaser (1988), Unsung (2008) and Legends (2006). He was married to Delia Potofsky. He died on April 23, 2006 in Great Neck, New York.
