早年经历

Professional wrestler.

Former WWF & NWA Tag Team Champion.

Once portrayed as having a drinking problem only to make fun of former WCW wrestler Scott Hall.

He and Road Warrior Animal were the first tag team to win the tag team "Triple Crown" (the WWF, NWA, and AWA tag team championships)

He and Joe Laurinaitis got the name "The Road Warriors" and the idea for their spiked shoulderpads from the 梅尔·吉布森 movie, The Road Warrior (1981).

Debuted as Crusher Von Haig in Vancouver.

He and Animal (Joe Laurinaitis went collectively as the "Road Warriors" and as the "Legion of Doom".

Inducted with his partner Animal (Joe Laurinaitis) into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2011 as the tag team The Road Warriors.

WWE Hall of Famer.

Like his tag team partner Animal, Hawk wasn't technically trained in wrestling. However, they are both regarded as being able to handle themselves in real life fighting.

During the time at the WWE when his demons took hold, a lot of wrestlers in the locker rooms were rather wary of Hawk. This was due to his unpredictable behavior. Sometimes without warning, he would scoop up a wrestler and drop him onto the concrete floor. Fortunately, there were no reports of any serious injuries.

From 1990 till 1992, Legion of Doom became the most popular tag team in the WWE. However, the two year period was a difficult one for both tag team members. Hawk was suspended on two separate occasions for various reasons. Being his partner, the suspensions included Animal also.

Before becoming a wrestler, Hawk had made a living as a nightclub bouncer. These particular establishments usually attracted less than desirable customers and Hawk used to carry a baseball with him at all times.

Nearly fell off the top of some scaffolding during a match for the NWA. The protective barrier at the top of the structure suddenly came loose and Hawk luckily held on.

The Legion of Doom - also known as the Road Warriors - are rated as one of the best tag teams in wrestling history.

Hawk and Animal were largely inactive on the wrestling scene, from the time they left the WWE in 1992 until they joined the WCW in early 1996.

Unlike the majority of wrestler managers, Paul Ellering was a genuine and vital asset to the Road Warriors tag team. He looked after every aspect of their careers and was considered the nerve center.

For the last couple of years of his life, Hawk was a reborn Christian. He had finally been able to put his former lifestyle behind him.

For their match at Summerslam '92 against Money Inc, Hawk wasn't fully prepared. Backstage, he had consumed a bottle of whiskey and some tranquilizers. This affected his performance inside the ring, so Animal had to work twice as hard to cover for his partner. After the event was over, Hawk disappeared and later left a message with the WWE. He announced his decision to leave with immediate effect.
